Not Every War Needs a Weapon—Some Just Need Your Attention. Silence Is Rebellion.

A follower messaged me on Facebook: “Your posts always sneak in some wisdom I didn’t know I needed!!! Keep writing!!!”

Although it's over the top compliment—but it also felt like a huge responsibility. That’s why I feel the need to write with greater care. I don’t want to be a writer who aligns with any particular agenda or ideology. After all, what kind of intellectual you are if you can't think independently? In a world that’s design to blind, to live freely is to rebel! It’s the Aquarius in me—can’t help it 😉

Many people tried to talk me through the India-Pak war situation, since I’ve been writing about socio-political issues lately—but I chose silence. Not just in conversations, but in my writing and social media sharing too. I’m not so much about strong emotional reactions or political theatrics. Anyway, there was too much noise—someone had to shut the fuck up. I don't want to be someone who capitalize on people's misery. I know one person choosing silence might not change much, but being true to myself feels good, and that’s enough. Maybe, after reading this, someone will feel like stepping back from the digital chaos and simply go on enjoying their day. If that happens, it’s a win for me—even if I never know who they are.

You might think the most expensive commodity in today’s tech world is data. But the real currency is your reaction—the emotional energy you pour into the internet. We’re living in an era designed to make you react to every single thing. That’s how the algorithms work and corporate feudal lords, people in power and also many others are watching your every single move, studying and shaping your mind the way they want. And it’s not just to sell you something—it’s also a way to maintain power, control and dominance. The elites have figured it out: your reaction is a tool for them to maintain power over you. Your reaction is the new-age fuel. You might think it's your thought or your emotion but think deeply and you will realize a lot of it is not yours. True matrix!

Let’s talk about war. But first, a few questions: Is war necessary? Who benefits from it? Who really wins, and who truly loses? One thing I know for sure, if nothing else humanity dies first, no matter who claims victory. People in power benefit. The arms industry thrives. The elites, both politically and financially, reap the rewards—always. People like you and me pay the price. It looks like everyone else is just sacrificial lamb for elites to constantly stay in power! It’s a global pattern. Take Adani, for example—successfully selling drones he’d been preparing for a long time so much so that he even advertised on national television. And meanwhile, people are back to fighting over Hindu vs. Muslim again. We are cheering as if we got new job market, free education for future generations, free medical facilities and strongest infrastructure ever. Was this about teaching lesson and winning over Pakistan? If yes, then why the whole situation just looks like theatrics with no real result. You may think we won against Pakistan, but Pakistan won a psychological war against us while we looked like clowns performing theatric all over the internet. Let that sink in.

“Be well. Don’t fight over hijab, saffron and caste. It hurts us when we see such things. Our soldiers are serving here in Kashmir and giving their lives so that you are well and safe. Think about the nation and teach your children to do that as well,” These were the words of Altaf Ahmed, 37, before he was killed in an avalanche in Kashmir.

"शौर्यम् दक्षम् युद्धे, बलिदानं परमं धर्मः"

A soldier lives by these words—regardless of religion, caste, state, language, or culture. I didn’t know what to feel when I saw religious hatred that took over after India-Paak war situation. Still, there was a silver lining. The Army’s press briefing panel choice presenting Col. Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh who have SC background, sent a strong message: The armed forces stand above gender, region, religion, caste and language. It was reassuring to see such a gesture. But it also left me wondering—Is this the kind of society our leaders have built for us?

I’ve always enjoyed meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures during my travels across various parts of the country. Over time, I’ve had the chance to meet a few military personnel, and some Para Commandos too. It was disheartening to see how deeply some of them aligned with hardcore Hindu nationalist views. Let's keep aside my encounters for a moment, look at Sir G. D. Bakshi or Major Gaurav Arya with Indian Army background who have hardcore Hindu Nationalist mindset. What are we really aiming for here? Do we want the Sikh Regiment to fight the Mahar Regiment? Or do we want them to unite and fight the Gorkhas, since some are reportedly joining the Chinese military—as Sonam Wangchuk Sir pointed out? Or maybe we want all these regiments to turn against the Muslims serving in our own forces? Or should they all fight against Hindu upper castes next?

Oh, wait—it doesn’t end there. Do we divide the military by language? Or North vs. South? State vs. state? Is that enough? Or should we now unite and fight China, Pakistan, the U.S., Turkey, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives? maybe just consider whole world against us! For more than 10 years now, we’ve been fighting battle after battle—externally and internally. And when we take a step back and view our situation globally, the truth hits hard: We’re isolated. Even Pakistan has stronger allies than us. Why other country not choosing India as allies but sees us as threat? Forget whether we’re threatening Nepal or the Maldives—the real issue is internal. Our socially unstable environment is the problem. India today is walking a dangerous edge— civil war.

Amid all the noise and distractions, do we even know what’s happening with the RG Kar rape case? Or the Madhavi Puri corruption case? What about the Adani scam, the Badlapur and Hema Committee rape cases, the Porsche accident, caste senses, or the ongoing crisis in Manipur? While we're kept busy reacting to outrage and headlines, real issues are quietly buried. Are we even paying attention to what truly matters anymore? Take for example job crisis. What happened to make in India forget that even the logo of that campaign was not deign by Indians.

At least I don’t see any of this on mainstream media. The truth is—we’ve all been brainwashed. And yes, I’m including Hindu nationalists too; even their minds have been hacked. We’re made to believe we’re progressing by flashing GDP numbers; by claiming we’ve won wars, or by declaring ourselves Vishwaguru. Just jargon, jargon, and more jargon—to feed our collective ego. A country’s progress isn’t defined by the rise of a few elites. It might make the average citizen feel good, but world leaders aren’t fooled. What we’ve truly lost over the past few years is the reputation of India. Once the Reputation is lost everything is lost. A true leader won’t trade their country’s honor for power.
